This is for J Double R
Born 22nd of March, 2010. These guys are now 3 days old & starting to colour up. They were all oringally pink jellybeans.
They are baby 'Yak' mice, sired by Douglas, my very plush 'Yak Mouse'! Most of these pups should turn out like their dad.
I'll post some more photos at 6 & 9 days. They should have some fur by 9 days, & it should be curly-ish. Enjoy!

Dad: ICED Black Douglas, aka 'Yak Mouse' - Black self Longcoat Rex
Mum: Solas - Sabled Fawn Brindle mismarked Longcoat
Unfortunately Solas wasn't really staying still for her photo, so it's a bit blurred.
BTW, longcoat rex is 'Texel' in the US. We just call them longcoat rex :)

Here's some updates of them with fur.
There's 9 in the litter, all male, 4 Longcoat Rex (also known as Texel) & 5 Longcoats.
The list of what I have is:...
3 x Black Longcoats
2 x Black Longcoat Rex
2 x Fawn Brindle Longcoats
1 x Fawn Brindle Longcoat Rex
1 x Fawn Longcoat Rex
The Fawn Brindle Lc Rex boy is the first to open his eyes today. They're meant to do it at 14-15 days, but they seem to be developing fast. Also starting to teeth, because I'm getting nibbled on constantly.

Here Kitty-Kitty! Owww come on you know you were thinking it!! I am just kidding they are really cute. I'd keep one as a pet assuming they are like most other rats and make good pets.
Do they? The black and brown long coats with the curly fur sure are cute!!

Curse my dad for cutting off the power to my room!....
Huff, they're actually mice, not rats :) Friendly like a rat though, which is good. They're 4 weeks old now, so they don't need mum or their nanny anymore, so they're on their own.
The Rexes are still curly, but the entire litter has super long fur. Even for being longcoats, they've got long fur. I'll have to post some pictures of them tomorrow.
