i need some advice very quickly.i have a 9" jaguar cichlid in a 75g with 3 synodontis sp. that have lived together for the last 8 months.i noticed the jag was a little listless so i did my normal water change.i did notice a slight injury on the left side about 2" from the base of the caudal fin.it looked like a scrape he sometimes gets from the rocks.anyway, this morning when i got up,i saw the synos attacking him in his weakened condition.i immediately moved him to a quarantine tank.i noticed the scrape on his side was now a gaping hole, his right eye is slimy and clouded over, his scales are ragged and overall condition is very poor.can anybody help me and tell me what i should do.thank you.

Start treating for bacterial and fungal infections. Keep water clean, I would do 25% water changes every other day. Probably wouldnt hurt to add some salt to the tank at least 1 tsp per gallon. Reduce feeding, that is if he is eating. From your explanation he didn't get this way just overnight you may of waited too long.
