So, I have a massive outbreak of some kind of brush algae on my dwarf sags, and I've been doing Flourish Excel overdose for a few days so far with limited lighting. I think the outbreak was from a 5500K 15w CPL bulb I put over the 2.5g tank.. I'm not sure. Anyway, the algae looks gray and really gross now. It looks like it's dying. I tried to scrap off some of it, but it is still firmly planted on the leaves. Does it eventually fall off or are my dwarf sags ruined?

Just trim most of the affected leaves off without disturbing the roots. The Sags will bounce back in time.
This may help

Hm trimming works? I think I will do that in a few days if the algae doesn't come off.

Just mow it down (with your trimmers/scissors) as you would your lawn. Feed the roots, and crank the CO2 (if you have it). Keep dosing the Excel, as well.

I took your advice and cut off all of the leaves this morning, except for a few leaflets that were unaffected. The plant look pretty silly, lol.

It will come back in due time. ;) I trim down my dwarf Sags every few months or so as it's good for the plants.
