Can RCS survive entirely on green algae?

I have a 10g with strong lighting, and from past experience it seems as if I can turn a slight green tint into a very dense green that blocks your view to the back of the tank by leaving the lights on during the day while I'm at school. Would I be able to use that to my advantage and feed the RCS with the green algae? :D

Thanks

depends on the type of algae, and unless you have alot of RCS they most likely wont make a dent in it if they do eat it.

they eat algae, but they are tiny and the amount of algae a single shrimp can eat in a day is really not significant, if you are expecting them to control an algae issue, they wont unless you have a whole herd of them.

Its still a good idea to supplement them with other forms of protien as well.

No, not algae control. I'm asking if they can survive entirely on green algae, wouldn't want them to control the algae so well that they run out of food xD

Here's an example of what I can make my fish tank look like(depending on how long I leave the lights on): http://s4.hubimg.com/u/1049735_f260.jpg

Would bloodworms be a good protein supplement for them?

Thanks
