On Sunday we bought from the lfs 3 upside down catfish.
One small, one medium and one large.
We put them in the big tank and they settled in fine. They chased the RTBS (Fergal) around for a bit, got friendly with the male betta (Baz) and were eating everything in sight.
Today- well about an hour ago...Rupert noticed that the middle one hadn't come out of the cave for food. We had a look and he has gone albino....all his colours and markings have gone...! he has a bit of mottling on his tail left. His skin looks almost translucent.
He and the rest were fine up untill sometime today...the other two still are.
Any ideas...? should I take him out and put him in the q tank where we are dosing the Clown Loaches for ich..? or will this make him worse.
Rupert is upset as this is his fish.
Thanks (again) in advance.
Claire
PS...cant get him to come out long enough for pics.
Edited to give more info and say ammonia is nil, ph is level and water change was done Sunday before they were put in.
