This is probably a very dumb question, but I am really new to shrimp, so please forgive my ignorance...
I was wondering if ghost shrimp would categorically get eaten up in a mbuna tank even if there is a lot of rockwork and many hiding spots? Would this just be torture for the shrimp? I know most people use them as feeders, but I thought they might add interest. If they are forced into deep hiding and are always stressed, I don't suppose it would be very interesting plus I would feel very badly for them. I won't try it if it is likely that they will be eaten.
My fish are not too big-- the biggest are 4-5" snow whites and there is pretty low aggression so far. They are mostly herbivores.
I don't really want to keep a dedicated ghost shrimp tank and it seems like they will eat dwarf shrimp, so that is why I came up with this idea!
Thanks!!!
