I have 3 bala sharks in a 100 gallon, and the one dominant one is wailing onto a small one, that doesn't get any food
Do you think it'd be okay to move it into a ten gallon with a male betta? The bala shark is like 3 inches long. Very skinny and timid, likes to hide way too much. I want him to plump up so he can take the chasing by the dominant one.

I think that it is a good choice to move it with a container not a net and fed him till he's filled out. But with a betta I am not sure. I have seen bettas with other fish and have heard that bettas are aggressive more towards fish with a lot of fin. Hopefully soon someone can give you better imput here soon. You could try though and keep an eye on it till then. A very close eye. Of course the bala may fill up on betta.

I don't recommend putting a bala into a 10 gallon tank, especially when it's used to ten times that much space. They are very "jumpy" and will fly around the tank, bumping into things and will hurt themselves. Their skittish nature might also stress out your betta, since that would be a lot of movement that the betta isn't normally used to seeing.
I had to trade my 7" or so bala in because he was ramming the sides of my 55 gallon, where he had 4 feet of running space...

My little anorexic one is just getting skinny and beaten up. :( oh well. I just gotta hope he will stand up for himself, instead of hiding in the corners all day. All he does is swim into corners and get chased around. Poor hting x.x. And when i'm feeding my fish he isnt' brave enough to come up and eat..he gets little scraps them spits them out. Oh well.
I'll just watchc and see. He's done good so far, it's been a few weeks

Maybe if you could put some kind of divider in the tank so you wouldn't have to move him out, and he would have food all to himself....
It sounds like he may be too far gone, if he's not even trying to eat the food he does find, but I hope this isn't the case.
Good luck!
