MAFIA #68, Mafia in SPACE game thread, revised and corrected.

The Mafia IN SPACE!

Background
The people of the colony ship AC1.20, are in danger of rebellion.

The rebels
Are in place of the mafia.
There will be 4 of them to start with, but one day 2 they can recruit 2 other players (crew, colonists). If u are recruited and you were a power role then that role will be given to a colonist.
The leader is called the don, for lack of a better name. He can kill one other person.

The Crew
Are the current controllers of the ship. They can also imprison (person cannot do anything for the following day) someone. There are 4 of them. Only 4, no more.
The captain can veto any ejection (from the airlock). If the captain dies then the entire crew needs to agree on who to imprison.
Rules on imprisonment:
If someone is imprisoned their vote is given to a colonist by doubling. The colonist will no know that their vote is doubled. The imprisoned person cannot post in the game thread for the rest in game day. AKA nightfall to nightfall.

The Engineer.
Is in place of the doctor. With his amazing mechanics he can protect one person every day, except himself.

The detective
Can do what detectives do and contact the engineer (if he finds him first). He can invest one person every night, until he dies.

The Colonists
Are innocent bystanders of this whole thing, and can only vote to eject someone. They want to get rid of the Rebellion. Good luck, you my need it.

The rules are the same as any other.

You cannot post outside of this thread, unless you are the crew/ rebellion.

You cannot call people names.

You cannot use my PMs to prove anything.

If u are the Captain or Don you cannot say so (it would be stupid).

If you want to leave just post it on the thread, I will see and you will die, no matter what.

If you get ejected you cannot post.

If you try to cheat and are caught you will die, no questions asked. If you are on a team that team will not be affected. If u can prove that someone on your team is cheating then you will get … nothing! It will help the game become more fun though.

The rebellion wins when all the crew are dead. The Crew win when all the Rebellion are dead.

If all the colonists die then the game is over and neither team wins.

You can not be invisible on the game thread, sorry no lurkers.

The order of things.

At night

1. any ejections will be shown
2. Any imprisonments will be shown.
3. Any Hits will be shown.
4. Any uds will be shown.
5. Any hints (possible) will be shown.
Hints are when bala does something abnormal, in witch case be ready for an unexpected thing the next night.

Things that can happen: Aliens (1 random revival), Hull breach (1 random death), computer failure (botched vote/hit). You will not know what happens until it does, but Bala may just warn you in an unexpected way.

I want this game to have at least 16 people.

4 crew, 4 rebellion, 8 colonists.

The doctor, engineer, and detective will be chosen semi-randomly from the colonists.

Ok, it has come to my attention that i forgot the limit on the number of imprisonments the crew have. They can only imprison 3 people, but they can use all 3 in one night, 2 in one night and 1 later or 1 a night or any combination of the three. Use them wisely.

In order for votes to count they must be done in bold. It is also customary to state a reason for your vote. (ie it was scummy the way xxx twisted yyy's words)

Nope, I hadn't posted yet. When I got on in the morning things were all messed up had no idea which I was suppose to post in so I figured I would wait till I got home from work and see what was there and what wasn't. Unfortunately for me, when I was heading home and going around the stupid *#**##*@@ turn about a woman slammed into my car going the wrong way around it. By the time the police got there, my car was towed and I found a ride to get my kids I ended up staying at my moms house. Once I was there...well didn't actually have time or the thought of getting on the computer and checking on things. So no I didn't post. If you want to Observe me for that go ahead, your choice:)

My impression of JL's voting so far is that he's just playing around with his BFF, keeping him occupied with the vote count. I don't see anything I would call distancing nor a serious vote. I wouldn't be surprised if his vote stays on Annie since Annie is always suspect. Where is Annie anyway?

As far as the whole : vs. ; I see it as a typical FF typo. Ice, if you look at the thread that was locked you'll see that FF has the roles listed after the - behind the person's name, since he inadvertently revealed jpap's role that way, hence all the new roles and the new game thread.

I didn't think much of the early vote from ILM. But it's interesting enough to warrant further watching. Even newbs can be scum. Of course, the other side of that is that Ice bears watching too for pointing it out.

I don't know who to vote for, nothing has stood out to me besides the colon fiasco and that isn't enough without further watching. Especially without a 4th colon.

Just in case I can't get to the comp before night I'm going to place a do not UD vote. I should be home by 8 but stranger things have happened on Fridays.

I went to http://javascript.internet.com/games/dice-roller.html they don't have a 16 sided die so I used a 20 sided. Rolled and got a 7 so Jpap is the lucky recipient of my vote.

So, Ice what about it makes it soooo susicious? As far as my opinion (if it counts since the vote was directed toward me) I seen it in two ways really...either a newb who saw everyone pickin on me about being evil in the sign up thread or, possibly they are on a team and was told to do it. That is the way I took it.
