How long should I wait before getting fish??

Hello,
the cycle is just complete in my new tank containing 12 neons and I'm happy to report that they all survived :)
Ammonia and Nitrite levels are at 0.

Just wondering if I have any reason to wait before getting 2 dwarf gouramis?
Somebody said to leave the tank for a month after cycle is complete before getting a new fish. What do you think?

Since you've hit the 0's, adding a pair of gouramies shouldn't be excessive. Just be sure to keep testing--the bacteria will have to play catch up with the new bio-load, but spikes should be small and quick.

I would not be afraid to add fish at the point were you are at. I would not at a bunch at once, go slowely, a fish or two at a time.
