Bless QuIck Cure

I'm sure at least some of you guys have been following me on my various ick-related posts. A recap: I got a new tank for X-Mas, it gets ich from platies, I immediately raise temperature, add some salt. Next day LFS employee and friend recommends Jungle brand Ick Guard, so I buy that. Two weeks pass, ich starts to clear up. I go to college, ich comes back with a passion, Ich Guard isn't working, the ich gets worse, and 2 fish die. I run out of Ick Guard, can't find any in my area, use QuIck Cure instead.

I started QuIck Guard two days ago. This morning I counted only 2 white spots. Two. Fish are healthy, owner is happy, but will continue treatment just in case.

In short, I'm a convert and will never buy Jungle brand *anything* ever again.

just so you know -
the meds do nothing to the cysts already on the fish - it only kills the tomites - raising temp will shorten ich's life span - so that prob did it n know continue meds so fnish off the tomites

Yeah, I know the meds kill the swimmers (tomites), not the cysts, but I have fewer cysts *because* the swimmers were killed and therefore couldn't attach, right? I will keep the heat and medication going for a little while longer.

this just reminds me how much i HATE ich - yeah the cysts must be dying and your not geting more because you are killing the swimmers - water changes help clean em out quicker
