Safety of 3M Colorquartz with Shrimp

I want to set up a shrimp tank using black 3M Colorquartz. I read one post somewhere that coated substrates are not safe for shrimp. Is this true? Has anyone experienced problems with CQ or epoxy coated gravel????

My understanding is that colorquartz is quite safe, however now virtually impossible to find since 3M stopped production of it. I think there are some other substitutes out there, but I'm not sure about their individual levels of safety. I know that Msjinkzd uses ColorQuartz in some of her tanks with no problems. Like all substrates, make sure to rinse it well.
