help with african choices

I have a 58g,same footprint as 40 breeder but taller,my question is would a colony of Cypichromis Leptosoma be ok or would a pair of Altolamprologus Compressiceps be better for a tank this size ? Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated .

Cyps should have at least a 4 foot tank IMHO...even non jumbos. Altolamps would be much better suited to the footprint.

That's what I was thinking. Some altolamps for starters: maybe a few females and a male. I've got eight altos in a 55.

Yeah thats kinda what I thought with theCyps being so skittish and jumpy.

Good luck I just sold a huge colony of 8 Firefin Comps for 80 bucks.. I would go for the Goldheads you will love em..

I've always been a fan of the darker (like black) altolamps myself. But out of those three I would take the first.
