Can fish get board?

I am wondering cause my angel has not done much besides sit and look at me. I feed him this morning and he got food yesterday and so on...

do fish need to have entertainment?

I haven't ever heard of fish collecting boards.......but they can probably get bored. :D Then again.....they say they only have a memory that lasts a few seconds. Everything would be new to them evey few seconds. :p

I think some fish can get bored, those being the more intelligent species (oscars, paradise fish, bettas). I would be more inclined to think that your angel is staring at you because he thinks if he stares at you long enough... he can take over your mind and make you feed him more :D. My largest angel stares at me whenever I am in my room, I think it's more "feed me" than boredom.

I put a couple small frog tank ornaments in with my Oscar and he loves to beat them up and hide them inside clay pots. If he gets bored of that he goes and bugs the JD.

Something tells me fish don\t understand the concept or feeling of boredom, but they do most likely feel the tickling sensation of having some form of fun or play...especially when it is related to food.

fish arent conciously aware. So no, they cant.

They sure can appear bored, and be boring to an observer though. :D

They can be unhappy with their environment though and may not act the way they should or be as active as they should be. So I could be that its not satisfied with its tank and isn't happy. Try adding some plants and other tank mates if you can.
