I am not really too concerned at the moment because my angels are eating well. If you have seen my recent posts, my ammonia is a little high and I am doing water changes and using ammo-lock to try and nuetralize it. My angels fins look a little strange and i am wondering what is going on. Where there swimming side fins attach to their bodies is like red. I am guessing it is just stress marks from the ammonia. Anyone know what is going on? By the way, the tank is a 125 gallons, ammonia .25 ppm, nitrite 0, nitrate 0, PH 7.6. The tank is stressed from a mini cycle. I am doing like 20-25% water changes everyday now. THe fish are still eating good now, the discus are back to normal as well.

0-nitrates mean your probably going to be doing a full cycle unless this tank is very very very heavily planted. How's the filtration in the tank?
Try nitra-zorb by API, i use it in my hospital tank when I'm dosing with meds to keep my ammonia/nitrite/nitrat readings at a minimum.
I'm pretty sure when using ammo-lock, the tests will still come back positive so it's hard to say how much ammonia you actually have in the tank. The clamped fins are a sign that the fish is more then likely coming down with a bacterial infection, keep an eye on their behavior and/or eating habits and watch the angels fins for fin rot.

Oh def misread your post, I thought you said they had clamped fins, but they are just red correct? Most likely due to the spike in the readings, keep up with WC and watch for any changes in physical/behavior and you should be fine ; )
