i am planning on redoing my 100 gallon tank and i am leaning towards getting an oscar but ive heard that i would be limited in what other fish i can put in there.

i am leaning toward an Amazon Biotope so if i did go with an oscar what else would you stock the tank with? and if not an oscar then what would else should i stock it with? i have already kept angels and discus so those are out of the question.

any input would be greatly appreciated!

An oscar does limit you greatly as anything smaller than it will be lunch. Severums have quite the personality, if that is what you are looking for and can be housed with many more choices. There are also quite a few colors morphs from which to choose.

if you buy an oscar youle be limited to big fish, mean fish and for lack of a better word Tank fish
big catfish, giant gourami, arowana
peacock bass, clown knife
raphael, pleco and other armored cats
not that all of those wuld fit in your tank
what do you want in this tank anyway
do you want a comunity
or do you want just a few big mean fish

if your stuck on cichlids but dont want to be restricted ile just throw out a few names
red parrot
keyhole
rainbow
severums
ram
some eartheaters
