Had to post my favorite CL ad of the week. I love that someone's WILLING to sell that 30 gallon tank for $150. (That's the rule of thumb...right?...$5.00 per gallon for used tanks!)

Check it out.

I saw a nearly identical CL ad here in Memphis recently. Might even have been the same castle, lol.

Must confess, I paid $5/gal for my set-up, but it came with a huge amount of stuff ... No castle, though. *sigh*

I have seen people trying to sell 10 gallon tanks for $90 plus in my area, so not much shocks me :)

When you pay $90 for the 10 gallon, I hope they INCLUDE the castle!!

Blows me away some of the pricing on these used setups. One ad in my area has been running for months now (repost after repost). It's for a 20 gallon sitting on top of what looks like a rusty wrought iron stand. The part that makes me laugh is where the ad says: Priced for quick sale at $75.00!!! I know the general rule in classified advertising is NO PRICE POLICING, but if there was a Price Police Force, I'd like to be the Chief!!

here in Mid TN some one was selling their 55 gal tank and stand for 800 bucks. from what i could tell it was a wally world setup and a wally world stand. total cost at wally world new is what around 250-300 bucks.

They must be hoping for a buyer who got their brains at wally world!

After living in the south......you wouldn't believe what people will go for. Good example is holding a ball python saying that it might jump out of your arms and telling them to watch out for the glass eating snakes in the glass cages that are for sale.

I would say people in the south go for about $5.42/lb, at least the one's I've purchased
