How safe is it to have some medium to large cichlids in a 75 g tank with a few crayfish and snails? I have heard that with crayfish can both pick on each other, but snails dont seem to have any way to pick on fish.

well, for first, i'd probably imagine the crayfish would eat the snails, then either turn on themselves (depending on the species) or go for the fish, and you may get the cichlids trying to eat them.
you may be lucky to get a couple of docile crays, but long term, i personally wouldn't risk it.

id imagine the crayfish would get eaten. snails should be fine. if you live next to the great lakes, try a few zebra muscles. not too fun to watch, but do a good job of cleaning the water

My experience with Crayfish is that even if you fish can fend for themselves, the crayfish will be tough on them, I tried one with oscars and big Gourami's and even though it didn't Permately hurt thr fish, it ripped fins up on every fish in the tank. which kinda took the beaty out of things for a while. Not much experience with snails.
