Hiya everyone,

I am not exactly new to this hobby but I have been, until now, fairly isolated. I am reading the messages here with great interest but I have a problem. There seems to be a lot of Jargon floating around the posts, much of it I can decipher but some I amat a loss about (sorry nothing comes to mind atm). Is there a glossary of comonly used acronyms some place at Aquaria Central that I have missed?

Not that i'm aware of...

I'll just list some off the top of my head:

LFS = local fish shop/store
LPS = local pet shop/store
IMO = in my opinion
IMHO = in my humble opinion
HTH = hope that helped
IME = in my experience
NO3 = Nitrates
NO2 = NitrITes
NH4 = Ammonia
LOL = laughing out loud
LMAO = laughing my *ss off

I realize you probably know most of those, they're just what came to mind. Wish I could think of more, but I can't:p

I think it funny that they just used "atm" in a question about acronyms.

Thank you I appreciate it and so fast too, actually I did a search on here (who would have thought of that?) and found out quite a bit.

Note to self: Search first then ask.

Yeah I am a veteran of forums and the net in general it was just the more specific aquarium related ones that were rthrowing me for a loop :scratch:
