Hello all, new here. Just starting to get back into keeping fish and also have a pair of Diamondback Terrapin Turtles that I will be getting this year.
I have been looking around for filters and want everything set up long before I start getting any fish or the turtles arrive.
The DBT's will be kept in a 75gallon (48"x21"x17"tall). Water will be filled probably up to 15-16".
I have been looking at two filters. A Marineland 250 GPH Canister filter and a Marineland Magnum 350 Canister filter.
The 250 is in my price range, the 350 is a bit out. The turtles won't be fed IN their enclosure so food debris will be minimal. A friend of mine has 3 DBT's in the same gallon tank and he says the 250 GPH marineland keeps his water crystal clear. And I'm only getting 2.
Anyways, is there an "in between" of the 250 and 350 in terms of price and GPH? Like a 300 gph for maybe 70-80$? Canister only please.
As far as the tank goes. I'm looking to set up a 29gallon saltwater aquarium. Any suggestions on a filter for that? Something under $70 if that's possible. I also have an underwater gravel filter for the saltwater tank as well.
Thanks again!
