Hi, I have a 30 gallon tank.. right now I have some Angle Fish a couple of plecos and some silver fish I am not even sure what they are.. the Tank was giin to me by myfather.. fish and all. he had to suddenly move for buisness and didn't want to move it all.. me living clse I just transported everything to my house and set it up.. I was able to keep the gravle in a bcket with tank water and the filters submerged... I started up been testing for a while and it seems fine... I am going to return a few of the "silver" mystery fish to the petstore becuas eI personaly do not like them... I am also going to return the pleco's I can't stand they way they look.. (sorry guys and glas that like them)
I plan on getting some snails going... Here is my question..
After I get my snails stocked and making more.. I want to get a couple of dwarf puffers for the tank. (this is why IW ant to start snails first) Will a few puffers be alright with 3 angles? I have a few plants int eh tank and a nice large peice of drift wood.

Oh shoot .. I forgot the tank has 2 fat cherry barbs in it as well..
Those can be moved to my Barb tank if needed..

What do you all think?

Dwarf puffers like to nip fins. Angel fish have large fins. I think will depend on the personality of the fish. I have heard stories of dwarf puffers in community tanks without any problems.

Puffers can be pretty nasty little buggers, I would pick either them or the angels, but not both. I think most people on the forum recommend puffers for species tanks only, (could be wrong).

If angels didn't have such long finnage, I'd say possibly. BUT they do have long fins so I wouldn't personally add anything with the reputation of being nippy into the tank.

Why do the cute fish (puffers, bettas, angels, cichlids, etc) all have to have compatibility/maintenance issues? Mother Nature isn't very fair.

So Could i be better moving my barbs to the bigger tank with a few puffer and the angles by themselces... hell.. I might just trade in the angles too.. I don't really LOVE them.. jsut didnt want to give away all the fish my dad gave me.

I had one puff (dwarf) in a 58 and he chased the cherries hard. I don't have any angels but i tell you what those dwarfs are REALLY mean! Cute, but mean! That beak they have is just for nipping too.

Puffers and long finned fish (though this is not even necessarily a difinite criteria - other fish are proned to nips as well) generally do not go well together IMHO. Try and feed them snails regularly to keep their beaks in check.
