Hot tubs can work as fish ponds, can't they? And what sizes do hot tubs normally come in? Like are there 200 gallon hot tubs?

hi
Would think it could be done but they're going to have a lot of equipment on them that would be useless as a fish pond .Also woukd be rediculously expensive for the size. I'm curious as to what would be the advantage ?? You want above ground heated ?? gary

The advantage is just that people are always giving away free ones on CL and I want a pond thats above ground.

A friend of mine neglected his hot tub to the point that it turned into a pond.
He put some goldfish and a water lily in it to control mozzies.
Twas a shame though. I love sitting in a hot tub, relaxing and having a few drinks..

sounds like a great idea! i would put it in the ground though and put rocks around it.... with enough rocks and plants you would hardly be able to tell it was a hot tub!

well, you could probably tell where it came from if someone accidentally hits the jet switch :-)
