Hey Guys,
This is forth time my angle pair breed in 2 months and im not successful to hatch them, i have 1 pair of angle with 6 color tetras in 35 Gallon tank.
First three time of breeding i notice angles eat these eggs at third day now at forth time of breeding i move all my fishes in a tube included parents but see at third day all live eggs filling down in gravel only the dead white eggs remain appointed at the breeding place (which is a side of power head sponge filter wall i turn off this filter then angles start laying eggs)
Eggs lay down because some movement start in them at third day.
My questions are:
1. is there any chances these filled eggs can survive in gravel? now i cant see them and i have too many small snails in my tank.
2. what is the best way to protect them next time?
i found this idea

you can use either spawning slates or breeding cones.
they will also lay eggs on just about any flat surface.
the benefit it slates and cones ..you can move them to a hatchout tank.
your best bet to success is to move the pair to a breeding tank..usually 20 G or larger.. these are usually bare bottom tanks with only sponge filtration,
slates and cones the angels will choose what they consider the best spot..
even with slates or stones they may decide on a differetn surface(uplift tubes or glass walls of the tank.)
some choose to let the parents hatch out the eggs and move the fry or free swimmers(this is my choice when I have time to tend to babt angels)
others with more time will move the eggs to hatch out tanks..usually treat the water with hydrogen peroxide or methylene blue(only used when eggs) as they begin to hatch you may need to do water changes.
methylene blue and H2O2 are used as fungicides , stop use when eggs begin to hatch.

Star_rider thanks for your advice, im building a breeding tank which might be ready in few days, you a right i think there was a fungi started in those live eggs so i can see it in the eggs and it moves.
quantity of methylene blue i use per gallon? after first day of breeding?
and is it not harmful for parents?

don't add it to tanks with fish.
the parents usually fan the eggs and this helps keep them clear of fungus. along with water changes.
Methylene blue should only be added to a hatchout tank.

I dont recall eggs falling down until they are wiggling.
Perhaps the current is too strong in the tank
Pics of fish breeding? or any pics of mated pair?
