Now that we have our bearded dragon in a big tank on a lower table the cats and dogs have discovered him. He has also discovered them it seems, and I am just not sure I should allow the interaction.
The screen top is locked and weighed down so the cats can't get in, but one of them has been sleeping on top of the tank most of the day (its warm!)
My dog has been spending a lot of time staring at him very intently through the glass.
Steve, our beardie is pretty funny about the whole thing, he watches them, and when the cats bat at the glass he will chase their paws and sometimes he gets really excited and run around his cage licking everything. :huh: Or get a good case of the glass dancing going on.
I did catch him doing the cute "I'm harmless" arm wave at my dog earlier.
If he isn't blackbearding or hiding, or getting those dark stress marks is this something I should worry about.
As it stands it seems like it is just some extra exercise and stimulation for Steve, is this normal in households with both lizards and dogs/cats. I really feel like he would hide or get dark if he was upset about it.
He is finally getting big enough that I can put him on a leash to go outside to play and get some sunshine and exercise, which is good because I feel like other than when the crickets appear his life is pretty boring.
