can you have hobs and co2? i hear it dosent work very well. my idea is to fill the water all the way up so as to not cause that much disturbance. and then cut a pice of pvc in half and glue it like a gutter on the output of the hob at an angle into the water. any thoughts on this?

some will still gas out but its possible. you will just use more co2 then you normally would. just keep the water line as high as possible and using something to diffuse it is a good idea. some people just use a plastic bottle.

plastic bottle sounds cheaper and easier. thanks

I use a block of coarse filter foam in the filter output to diffuse the waterfall effect.
