I just registered to this site to help my boyfriend with his sick pet oscar.

His oscar is lathargic and seems ot have a white fild mainly on the nape region and around dorsal fin area. The most lower region of its body. Possibly the frontal face area.

Fish as of this evening is laying on the bottom of tank only moving when pushed by other fish. It has been moving its eyes looking around.

SUGGESTIONS....?!?!?!

Second, what are your water parameters (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite readings), water temp, size of tank, other fish species sharing the tank? I think you'll have better luck if you post this problem in the Freshwater Illness and Disease section. Best of luck.

Welcome to AC!! Also, just as a precaution, perform a water change of about 30%.
