Earlier today I set out to find me some more fish to add to my tank. Well, I came home with 2 julii cory cats and 6 beunose (sp>) aires tetras. Nice looking fish and all! My concern is one of the larger tetras seems to be having difficulty establishing to my tank. Everybody is established and seem fine. This other guy has himself crammed into a corner, at an angle, at the water surface gasping. I have not noticed anything unusal on him (parasites or damage). Right is a bad time to check him out anywho, the tank lights are off. Any ideas??? I know the first thing you gonna ask is tank parameters.

I haven't done this in a couple months adn knowing all fish (but the one tetra) are healthy, I guess my tank param's are good. Thanks!

Ciao!

Nevermind, it died! I found it about 30 minutes ago stuck to an intake tube. Just means I'll have to go out and get more!!!

sorry :(

it happens, unfortunately. you should look into a quarantine tank tho, to try to protect yourself from adding unwanted nasties to the main tank.........

good luck

1 death out of 8 new fish is not bad. Most good fish places have a warranty on livestock if you bring the corpse and your reciept.
