I have a freshly cycled 55 with a few swords and a few anubias..About 6-7 plants total.
2 WPG, no c02, Flourish fertilizer once per week, and about 10-14 hrs of light per day.
The tank is only about 1 month old and the only inhabitants are 4 corys, 6 ottos, and one clown pleco
The ottos dont touch the hair algae, and the pleco never leaves the driftwood.
My levels:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5ppm
PH 7.2
I guess my question is why the heck is the algae growing so fast, the tank is only about a month old. Any suggestions are appreciated.
