Ok so after several yrs of convincing myself never to buy an oscar again I decided to buy an Oscar lol. I had bought one previously a few months back sadly it passed away after being attacked by my other fish. Now I got a new one who lives with my L-144 and a betta for the time being. I know very short term solution but there all getting along.

Ok so as some of you know I work at walmart and my walmart carries fish I know some walmarts dont. Well I sometimes work in pets and well I was looking at the O's and saw this one that caught my eye. I kept an eye on it for bout a week and come my friday I decided to buy it.

He is in my 20gal planted tank for now. I just got my income tax so new tanks should be coming soon. Im plannin on a 75gal for him along with my like 5yr old L-001 pleco who is roughly 9-10inches long. Ill either do bare bottom or do black gravel most likely bare bottom though.

Well here is a pic of him when I first got him a week from yesterday which was ummm May 4th. I took some pics a few min ago which ill post later. Here is the one pic for now he was still in the bag.

Congrats! I sometimes wish the pattern they have at the juvie stage would stay..lol.

:y220e: Very awesome find. Those are some unique markings on it, hope they don't change too much on it.

Wow, those markings are awesome! You say they are just juvi markings, Bob? Too bad. That is really pretty. Good luck with him!

Nice pickup. So do you still have your loiselleis?

Pretty oscar!

absolutely gorgeous oscar-im so jealous!

LOL thanks for all the kind comments. We will see how much they change if at all. Ive had some this small grow up and not have any real change at all. But who knows. Ive seen many O's in there but this is to date the nicest weve ever carried.

Kinda glad I got it. Later on in the day after I bought mine they got a new shippment in and well two of those have died already and were being eaten up by the other O's. Kinda sad but mine made it out. Some have stringy poo as well. Mine seems good though. Eats alot dang piggy.

Vicious yes I still got them loisellei's both are doing great. Males finnage is perfect no tears no scrapes no scars just perfect specimen the female is in perfect condition too right now but does get picked on from time to time. The male killed 2 Silver Dollars so far. Poor dither fish. But wit my income tax I wanna get them there own individual tanks not plannin on breeding them till I feel like I got the time. Ill see if I could take pics of them later on.
