What do you think of this food for cory?good or bad food? does it sink?
Its the best. Stock up because I hear they are being discontinued. To answer your question, yes they sink, and yes they soften quickly for the corys.

alright thanks ill pick up some.
just a question, what fact has proven they are the best or one of the best? wahts so special about them?
the things i like about them are 1) they are pretty universal, everything eats them. 2) they have excellent mass and it's all in one spot. 3) they aren't wildly expensive. 4) they soften up but they still seem to mostly stay together for awhile.........
i haven't seen many options for sinking pellets around here besides them and hikari carnivore pellets and the hikari costs alot more.
to get the same kind of mass from flakes you have to make one heck of a mess.

thanks for the responses. i better get some before they're sold out.
Yes this really bites, I use these alot. Everybody will munch on them. My small town lfs has a few left. I guess I will buy up the lot. Does anyone know how long they will keep unopened?

All of my fish try to eat them too, which makes it hard to keep the Cory's fed!
The only drawback, is they get broken up into pretty small pieces in the can, and if you have large gravel substrate it will drop down into the gravel and not be eaten.
I recently moved everyone into a new tank with sand and flourite, and i can drop in the small pellets.

That is my biggest complaint as well - it brakes and sinks into my gravel after few hours. For my next tank, I'll go with much smaller grain substrates. Other than that, every species I have eats them, even pl*cos...
my silver dollars would catch them in mid air and swim around with them, looked just as if it was smoking a cigar! hah those fish are funny
i would imagine freezing the cans would keep them fresh longer.....
My cories love them. I also buy the complete sinking tablet that Tetra makes. It is pretty inexpensive and the fish seem to like it as well. Looks like it will be the main staple for my cories once the Wardley tabs go away.

yhbae, you're kidding right? A few hours? Ever hear of the 2 minute rule for feeding? Even 5 minutes is better than "a few hours"!;)
They always worked for me and my fish. The kids love watching the rainbows play "chase the fish with the cigar" too!

Well, few minutes rule works for flakes and other smaller pallettes but I was never able to get them to eat these shrimp pallettes in few minutes - most of them can't even break it apart in few minutes. Same thing for algae wafers...
