What live foods do you guys feed your fish and how often?
I have just bought a white worm culture and a microworm culture. I plan on multiplying these very soon. Also plan on collecting mosquito larvae in the spring.

Be aware that if your community does any type of pest control spraying for mosquitos your larvae are no good for fish!
Don't know if this happens where you live, but a truck tours my neighborhood about once a week during the worst of mosquito season spouting poison into the air.
I use California Blackworms. (http://www.aquaticfoods.com/intros.html)

Microworms, grindal worms, daphnia, fruit flies, mosquito larvae, and brine shrimp mostly.
For my larger fish (10''+) I like to have a morning/night feeding of frogs in the morning and fish at night. I switch up the order every week, and for the arowanas I reserve tadpoles and sometimes large crickets as a treat (about twice a month). I use pellets to balance out the nutrient distribution. For my smaller fish (under 10'') I generally do three flake/pellet feedings one day and two feeder fish feedings on the next. The quantity is obviously a lot less. I breed the food, which I think is better for health concerns.

Cearbhaill good point about insecticide sprays, I never thought about that. I live in Toronto, Canada and not sure if they do that or not. I will have to find out before spring, thank you.
