Quick question do khuli loaches has a preferred substrate?

Sand!

They love to burrow and will blow sand through their gills while hunting for food. Their barbels are less likely to be damaged by sand. And they are "scaleless." Not literally, but their scales are very tiny, and so they aren't well armored against rough gravels and other substrates.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought that might be the case as I already have my other loaches in tanks with sand substrated.

I've been wanting to get khuli loaches and I have black sand in most of my tanks but I'm worries their going to mess things up if you know what I mean. Will they uproot plants? Make the sand bed extremely uneven? If someone could help it would be much appreciated.
