Reading lots of past threads on cycling and bio-spira and I think I'm gonna try some but can you actually buy any??? I can't find any anywhere. I found one online place that sells it and says they're on backorder and the supposed delivery date shows it's been moved back 3 times already. My local Petsmart employee gave me a couple LFS stores that "may" carry it but one I can't find in the phonebook and the other isn't open till Wednesday to even find out. Anyone know of a place online and can it be shipped? It appears that it has to be refrigerated which means high $$ shipping right? Anyone in the Oklahoma City area that knows a place with this stuff? I don't know if this is the place you were talking about, but I have ordered bio spira online at The Fish Store (www.fishstoretn.com) 3 times with great results. I heard the product is on back order because demand exceeded the supply. I think more will be available the first week in February.
P.S. From what I have read on other threads, Bernie at The Fish Store appears to be cheaper than what some people pay locally including the shipping! He will also be able to tell you when more will be coming in if he is also out.

yep, that's the place I saw. If you'll look on their bio-spira order form, the shipment date has changed several times so either that shipment has already been sold and he's waiting for the next or the order keeps getting backordered. I guess I'll stick with my ammonia cycling on this 10 gallon and then do a 100% water change to try and get rid of as much chemical in the water as I can and then add my mystery snails to see what happens. If they live through a week, I'll add my beta. I planned to keep the two snails and the beta in the q-tank and transfer them to his current 1-gallon when I need to use the Q-tank. I'll just hope bio-spira is more readily available when I get my wife's 42 gallon for her birthday in late March since it's awaiting angels and I don't want any small problems with those. Kyle

Sounds like a plan. Someone on another forum asked about his supply, and he said he's supposed to get some by Friday. Hopefully the supply will catch up by March.
