Aren't the Marisas plant eaters?

yes but they mostly eat yellow squash and zucchini, algae wafers and yes ate some of my duckweed, and guppy grass,.. so it don't bother me,.. for that they are in my qt tank atm,.

was waiting to put them in my goldie tank to see if they would clean the back wall of algae since its a 90g and a pain to clean way back there but i haven't tried as of yet as i have fell in love with them,, they really are pretty,..

i have them in with baby bn plecos, and thats how i found that they like the veggies, and i have also given them spinich, fresh and blanched,..

also have mollies and ameca splendens in there so they all eat the veggies,..

I am interested in a few of those. What did you have in mind? I am in PA and have purchased from you before. PM me with your thoughts.

I wish! I have one in a 55 with my two black moors. He eats plenty of veggies too, and whatever food they miss, which isn't much since they're always rooting around. I have never seen him actually eat much algae - at least not in a useful way. He seems to clean the powerhead of algae real well, lol. And I see him perched on some of the silk plants (I have a combination of plastic/silk/real in there) and he might be nibbling a little on that...but I don't think the glass gets cleaned whatsoever.

For glass cleaning, I think BN plecos might be best since they can tolerate cool temps, no? How cold does your goldie tank get in winter? If it gets too cold than you'll have to try nerites probably.

it stayes room temp around 70'sh and when i change water it is usually cooler i still mix hot in it,.. so i'd say about 67-68 i don't use just cold for i have weather loaches in there also,..

I've always liked those but cannot get them locally.

Congratulations Dixie - they look great.
