Hi, my name is Biohazard, and I am terrible at IDing cichlids.

Whew, I feel better with that off my chest. :D

Anyway, I help out at my lfs, and these cichlids are not labeled, which drives me NUTS! Please help me out here.

Thank you!

1. albino red top zebra and 2. is just a red zebra but chech water cause looks like they are discolored a little. May need to do more water changes.

The second is a Red Zebra for sure the first one the head don't look like a Zebra. Is probably but not the red type is probably the O type. Don't believe is Albino just for the simple reason that there are no Red Eyes.

I had just messed with the water, hence the nastyness. These are at my lfs. They had let the tanks go a little, but I am slowly bringing them back up to snuff.

They're red zebras. The first one is a different color morph, I forget the proper term for it, but not albino. Maybe just stressed out, but not albino.

Here's a fantastic "cheat sheet" for you, Bio:

Check out the genus gallery! All you need is to know whether they are African or New World cichlids.

When I saw the second pic, I thought, "Maylandia" - but apparently there is a huge taxonomic kerfuffle here: Maylandia, Metriaclima, or Pseudotropheus?

But yes...let's just say...red zebra. And the first is leucistic.
