Tank Specifications:
30gal, freshwater
ammonia- 0, nitrite- 0, nitrate- ~30 (API test kit)
78 degrees fahrenheit
has been cycled for approximate two months, set up for three-ish.
I perform 5 gallon water changes every week
Just ended a month-long treatment for ich using Coppersafe.
Inhabitants:
5 zebra danios
3 balloon mollies
1 opaline gourami
1 rubberlip pleco
1 golden mystery snail
I introduced 3 balloon mollies to my aquarium about two weeks ago. They all have been doing well up until the last couple of days. I noticed at feeding time three mornings ago that one of the mollies did not come out to eat and was hiding behind the filter (this is very abnormal). When he finally did come out, i can see that he is not big and round like the other two mollies, but a little smaller and the bottom of his stomach seems to have a large dimple in it. For the past two days he has just been sitting at the top of the water in a corner, hiding. I'm guess it's an internal parasite? Has anyone else had balloon mollies with ip and can describe what they looked like? Any diagnosis/treatment advice?
Thank you!
