can mollies hurt my apple snail?

so i bought an apple snail, and my molly was pecking at it...at first it was picking off the shell which didnt bother the snail that much, then later it pecked at the snails body, can this hurt the snail?

Yes i think it could if the molly is constantly pecking at his body. If the fish isn't pecking at your snail constantly then don't worry about it. My mollies bother my snails every once and a while. I think the molly is just curious. :D

snails are pretty tough...and they're experts at healing themselves up. one of my gouramis is especially interested in the apple snails in her tank...and pokes and pecks at them. no real harms seems to come from it.
