I wonder, what I found last night?

They rest, at the base of the Green Star Polyps and look like little brown filter feeders.

I just hope it's not a pest or relative of the glass anemone.

Can anyone ID them for me?

It is difficult to make out in the pics but it almost looks like aiptasia to me.

I would recommend doing a google search for images to see if what you see in your tank is indeed aiptasia. If it is you want to get rid of it.

To me, it's not aiptasia... I've not seen aiptasia with branches / nubs on its tentacles.

It looks like a small variety of Anthelia that I've had in my tank before. If you can see a thin mat very close to the rock connecting the two stalks together, I would bet it is some variety of Anthelia.

Theres lot of species of glass anemones. It could be one, but haven't seen one with multiple sub-branches like that. Aiptasia just looks menacing. If it looks menacing to you and coral starts dieing around it, remove it with aiptasia X or add a couple peppermint shrimp to see if they eat it. I had one aiptasia so far on one of my frags. Aiptasia X killed it outright and I knew exactly what it was when I thought about it.

Ok,

So, I know Clove Polyps are good, is Anthelia, good too?

I think, I noticed a brown dusting around the feet of the polyps. They seem to split at the base. I also, see more brown dust around the frag, than the brow polyps.

Are these two types (Green Star and Anthelia) compatible on the same frag?

Thanks for the info and insight
