I picked up these two today at Exotic Aquatics. One is ricordia from Australia maybe. The other is some sort of orange mushroom. It could be a orange mushroom xenia. Not sure. It spreads really fast and it attached itself to the rock immediately. Its definitely my new favorite.

On top, I see some type of zoas / palys. The lower one looks like a Ricordia yuma. Typically, the brighter colored yumas prefer higher light than the duller colored ones. If it needs to be moved higher, doing so gradually will help you find the right place for it. Or, in come cases, it'll move on its own, especially if there's enough flow.

The orange one keeps reaching out and checking out the rock around it. I think it may be getting ready to grow or move.

When yuma grow they split and leave a little one behind. It basically lays down some polyps and tears itself apart.

Orange Yuma expanding 25% in a matter of hours. I also moved the frag down a bit from the original pic hours ago. The idea was to shape it.

Lol...The mushroom decided to go for a stroll and fell off the rock face down in the sand. I picked him up and put him up on a flatter surface.

Although it could Ricordea, pic isnt that clear. Try googling Discosoma neglecta,
D. carlgreni or some Rhodactis Sp.
Amphiprion

I'm leaning toward Rhodactis...

The later pics do look like Rhodactis. Is the shroom thin or fat? If it's thin then it's probably a Rhodactis.
I would agree... It doesn't look so yuma like in the later pix.

When the lights in the tank went out today, I saw the orange coral shape up into a bowl. It then exposed its lower amoeba like body and sprayed some white stuff into the rock hole. Was wondering if this was reproduction.
