Ok. So i have a Clarkii clownfish that a few days ago I noticed it appeared to be developing popeye. His eyes seem slightly clouded and bulged a lil. My friend had the same clownfish, and treated it with the KanaPlex. The popeye cleared up in 3 or 4 days. My qusetion is, since i treated the clarkii for it, my Long Tentacle Anenome has shribbled up and refuses to open. Does anyone kno if the KanaPlex contains copper? There are no ingredients on this bottle.
I pulled the anenome out of the 55 gallon, and put him in a 5 1/2 starter nano reef that has no chemicals in it. Just cycled tank water. Maybe he will open up. The carribean Flower anenome i added to it today is doing great. The LTA doesnt smell dead, i kno when they die they stink. I smelled him , nothing raunchy. It just looks as if he is all sucked inside. I burried his foot a lil to anchor him down.
any other ideas?

Okay, (have had time to cool down and post to your threads again) I thought you learned the first time not to medicate your tank due to the sensitive fish (shark and not a fish but Anemone)? I medicate fish as a last resort. NEVER when the fish is looking a little funny. They have immune systems like ours and generally in a good tank can fight the parasite without aide. From the looks of things that anemone is probably as good as gone. 1) They HATE being moved from tank to tank. So please leave him in one tank that is very well established and never treat the water with meds again. To be 100 percent honest I highly doubt the anemone will make it and will be shocked if he does. Keep this in mind for future reference: ABSOLUTLY NO MEDICINE is Invert safe. There is not 1 on the market that I know of that is. Even if it says it is, it more often than not is not safe. Just watch the Flower Anemone closly and I would suggest setting up that 10g you had and use it as a quarentine tank so you can quarentine and treat fish seperatly in a different tank. Also every time you add meds to a tank you kill off most of the good bacteria from the rock and sand. Too much meds= 1 large tank crash. Just warning. Hope this helps.

Well, i definitly learned from that **** MelaFix. I kno they dont like to be moved at all, but I figure the chances of him surviving are a lot better in a tank with pure water than in the 55 at the moment. All the other fish are doing fine. I did end up losing my trigger however. Just didnt get better. Kept rubbin on the rocks. Eventually it seemed he just damaged himself too much. Not to mention my striped damsel was killed by a highly aggressive clownfish. They were purchased together months ago... guess he just got tired of him. The LTA isnt dead yet however. I took note on another forum to feel it, see if it reacts at all, etc. After feelin on some of the lil tenticles it did seem to open slightly, show signs of life. Im hoping for the best, but expecting the worse. He seems to be reacting to the light better the closer he is to the surface. I dont kno what else to do really. I hear they react to iodine supplements, which the 55 has recieved now for about 3 weeks, but the levels in the small tank are not nearly as high. Guess only time will tell.
