I know its not a good shot, but my cellphone can even pick up the size of this thing. It is roughly 1-2mm across. It has an almost algae green colored center, three white arms, and kind of looks like a micro starfish with three legs. It moves very slow, is on the side of the glass, and is mostly white. It also has many tiny hairs that look like cilia feeling around the area that it is in.

That is more than likely exactly what it is. Do a quick search on "Asterina." In this case, this guy wouldn't be considered plankton. That would be more oriented toward floating organisms.

It really does look like that. I don't know where it came from through. The basslet is probably going to eat it if it sees it.
