Hello everyone!

Need help in a possible replacement for lighting in my Via Aqua Tank. It is a 37g w/ black canopy.

the 2 bulbs are about 22.5" long w/ 2 pins each.

I may want better lights than the standard flourescents that came with them. The words on the lights are in Japanese so im not even sure what they are.

Please help.

Thanks

Sounds like normal output (NO) 18 or 20 watt fluorescents. Should say something like "F20T12" or "F18T8" on one end of the bulb.

If it's just for fish, that light will be fine. For corals, you will need to get about triple the output.

I am only in the planning stages of upgrading my lights but the LFS told me there isn't a lamp i can simply upgrade too. I have to either get an over the top assembly or do a retrofit on the existing canopy.

Can you tell me where on the net has a good supply of options for me?

Also, is Custom Sea Life really going out of business..and how will that affect my decision on lights?

Thanks.
