Hello,
My name is Joe and I am trying to gather information on building a fishroom. I am open to an ideas or information that anyone can give me. So far, from my research it appears that due to the cost of building a fishroom that it is best to build it in stages. I look forward to hearing from those of you that have any info or ideas for me.
Joe

Moving to FW DIY and products--you may want to search there, as many people have built fish rooms. OG

For a fish room there is a lot to consider. You have kinda asked a very open question that needs a little narrowing down before we can give you much help. Ask yourself some of the following questions.
How much floor space do I have available? How much do I need?
What type of fish would I like to keep?
What is the water paramitors in my tap water and will I need to use a RO?
Do I won't a central filter or separite filters?
How much can I afford monthly to feed, heat, filter, get chemicals?
What is the purpose of the fish room? (Breeding/Enjoyment)
Can my floors hold the weight of the tanks?
What do I have now that I could use for this room?
Do I wont to buy my stuff or make alot of it?
I know these seem like some basic questions but they are important. As far as starting small and working upwords this may or may not be the way to go. My tank is a work in progress I am no where near the final outcome. I havn't answered all the questions yet but I know where I am heading and that helps to guide me.
Enjoy the hobby but don't jump into it blind you have already done some research and that is a step in the right direction. Comming here and asking is a good idea there is alot of knowlege in these forums that we can all use. Keep up the good work and looking forword to helping/getting help from you in the time to come.
After two years I would have thought that you would be finished.

I was thinking the same thing. I know I like to put things off, but not for 2 years :joke:
