Bristle nose bristles

I have 10 young bristle nose plecos. I was wondering around what size do the males start to get the bristles on their nose?

Mine started to bristle at 2-2.5ish inches

thank you:) most of mine are 1.5" and smaller, so we shall see. I can't wait till they start to grow up and pair off.

they don't seem to pair off per say mine tend to ignore each other unless they want the same bit of food or house. but they still manage to lay some eggs for me.
pics are my male brown and female albino "pair" i have with me at the field house and a couple not so great shots of a brown baby and an albino baby from them.
