Hi! I recently got a 4 Blue rams and I was wondering if it is normal for them to "ram" into each other. I have 2 that I presume to be male bumping and chasing the females around. The 4 rams currently share a 55 gallon tank with a small tetra of some sort. The tetra has lived alone in the tank for a couple of months and I added the Blue Rams on Monday. Currently they are all eating Hikari Sinking Carnivore pellets. I'm concerned about the stress to these 2 Rams that are constantly being bumped into and being chased around. I do not have any driftwood or caves for them to hide in but I do have some amazon plants, a sponge filter, and those air box corner filters that could help them hide. Another problem is that even after all the abuse by the "male rams" they all still prefer to school together and eat together. All 4 rams still seem to be skittish and have black stress stripes on their bodies. Should I be concerned? Thanks

I would go to my local Walmart, and pick up a few clay pots for them. Also a few more plants might help to break up some territories. Tetras are schooling fish, and you definitely have room in there for more.

Can anyone help me sex my 4 rams? Can anyone help me confirm at least 1 male and 1 female?
