i need to know the species name for rams, and i need to know if rams and cichlids from the julidochromis line can be in the same tank? thanks.

Scientific names
Ram: Mikrogeophagus ramirezi (http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=421)
Bolivian Ram:Mikrogeophagus altispinosus (http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=420)
Rams like soft acidic water, julidochromis like hard alkaline water, so they should not be kept together.

Microgeophagus ramirezi - Blue, Gold, & Electric Blue Rams. Need temps from 78 to 85F, ph 5.5-7.0, soft water.
Microgeophagus altispinosus - Bolivian Ram. Needs temps 71 to 78F, ph 6.5-7.5, soft to medium water hardness
Julidochromis species need hard, alkaline water ph 8.5-9.0 and temp about 79/80F.
The Julies are also generally larger & more aggressive than the Rams so No, I don't think this would work very well.
