I'm now getting a 30g from craigslist, could I have 2 pairs of GBR's in there? I think I'll have a sand or fine gravel substrate and have some depressions in there from the top of a coconut and the overturned flowerpot in there along with some amazon sword plants. Can I have 2 pairs in there? Sorry for all the ram questions. Thanks :)

I'd do only one pair...

Yeah, I would go with one pair, but you would have lots of space for some cool schooling fish along with them!

I would try 2 pair in there. Make a clear delineation with plants or wood from one side to he other. I think you would be ok.
I have three Bolivian Ram pairs in a 46 bow community tank that have spawned for me for five years.

I have two pairs and an extra male in my 30g that all get along fine even when they spawn.

I think I'm going to try 2 pairs if I can get another pair. Would I have to remove fry?
I always removed the fry, but that doesn't mean you have to. You will get more to survive of you remove them.

Good luck...you'll have a better chance if you buy a group of juvies and have them pair off on their own though...

I'm buying a proven pair that forms from a group of juvies.
