Hello, I have two gold severums about 2" and 2.5" long. I got them from the same LFS at the same time, so I assume they are the same age, but maybe not. Their dorsal fins are pretty much the same. Kind of short and rounded off more than pointed.
I have read that males tend to have longer more pointed dorsal fins along with other differences. So, are the length of the fins a reliable way of determining sex, or are they all the same length at this age/size?
I know a picture is best, but I am not at home to take one right now. If nobody can help without one, I will try to take one when I can.
