Depends on the kind of pleco and plant.
Big pleco=small thin leaves on plant so it can't get suction on the leaves.
Small pleco=no plants unless leaves are very fine and you are willing to lose a few leaves.
But sometimes it depends on the fish, some plecos don't like 'em. I would try some thin leaves plants and see what happens. If you ask the store you got the plecos from if they gave them plecos lettuce, then probably do'nt put live plants in there, they would devour them.

That's hard to say. I have a 17 inch and 14 inch and they don't eat my plants. They sometimes uproot them when they get to playin but no harm done. My 14 inch likes to float on top of my sword plant. (See my post on arowana problems, there is a pic of him chillin on top of the sword.) :D

Yea, they do not cause any problems with plants. You might see then sucking on a leaf thinking they are eating it, but they are getting whatever little algae there is on it off. My common pleco used to uproot my anacharis a lot, but he hasn't done it in awhile.
