So my tiger botias seem to be doing okay. I have heard everywhere that they need to be kept in groups of at least 5 but I only have 3. They are in a 30g tank that is why I am afraid to risk adding any more. Is it okay that I have them in a group of 3. I figured that it is still an odd number so they can get the hierarchy thing going. Also is there a cheap easy way to get my tank more oxygenated? They seem to hang at the top sometimes... I have 2 plants in there as well as 2 gouramis and a jack dempsey.

Three should be fine if you add any more it would be over filled. Your tank set up might not work out in the long run. That jack dempsey is going to get big my dad has a 8inch jack. They get meaner with age.

You have 4 aggressive fish that will grow to at least 6-8 inches, a 30g is a temporary tank at best. Make some plans for the near, very near, future. I see nothing but trouble in your current set up.

Thank you for the advice guys. I know I need to get a larger tank. I hope to get a 60g within the next 3-4 months if possible. I just want to make sure that my fish are all happy and healthy... With the EBJD I'm hoping to get a cichlid tank going so the set up is pretty temporary. If not I'll return the fish that need to be returned until I can get a proper set up. It'll make me sad if I have to return them though, i love them all =]
