I have two pairs of GBR's, one pair in each 20g and they are doing great, im getting spawns about every month or so. I also have a male GBR in a 29g community. Im wondering if you can keep multiple GBR pairs together in one tank? If so what would be best like 2 trios, or 2 pairs, 3 pairs etc...

Thanks for any info (:

It would really depend on the size tank they were in. I wouldn't put two pairs in a 29 or a 20, I would say bigger than that. Some people might disagree. If given lots of space for each pair to have a nice territory, it would probably be ok. Keep pairs, or more females than males, but never more males.

A 55/75 could work but you'll need lots of decor to break up the territories.

I would also never keep extra females unless it is a LARGE tank. Extra females will just get harassed by the pair.
